Conversations that empower – encounters that inspire courage

Dear Families and Friends,

sometimes it is not the grand events that touch us deeply and have a lasting impact – but rather the small, trusting encounters. Spaces where people can open up, feel understood, and regain new strength. The Caritas Mothers’ Breakfast in Wuppertal offers exactly such a space – a place for exchange, community, and mutual support.

On May 13, 2026, we had the special opportunity to present our work at this valuable gathering. Our Chairman of the Board, Timm Fries, provided insights into dolphin-assisted intensive therapy and demonstrated how we support families on their journey – from initial orientation through to concrete implementation and assistance surrounding the therapy itself. It became especially clear that our approach extends far beyond the therapy alone. At its core is a holistic concept aimed at activating abilities, fostering strengths, and involving the entire family. Interdisciplinary collaboration and individualized support are key elements of our work.

The open Q&A session that followed was particularly valuable. It led to an in-depth and honest exchange – without time pressure, but with a great deal of trust. We were kindly supported by Petra Wolfsgruber, who, as an experienced therapy mother, shared her personal insights and enriched the discussion with meaningful contributions. Encounters like these continually remind us how important it is to create spaces for dialogue and mutual understanding. They inspire courage, provide guidance, and strengthen the feeling of not being alone.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Katharina Duisberg and the Hospizdienste Caritas Wuppertal-Solingen for the invitation, the trust, and the warm, appreciative atmosphere. Moments like these encourage us in our work – and in our commitment to creating lasting perspectives together with families.

With kind regards,
Your team at
